The car's active noise reduction technology is inspired by noise reduction headphones to minimize background noise. Like noise-canceling headphones, the active noise control system provides a quieter and more comfortable experience for drivers and passengers.

The car noise reduction system uses three microphones placed inside the car compartment to measure background noise. In addition, the behavior of the driver and the vehicle is monitored. These monitoring results are used to create sound waves that counteract background noise, and will not affect music playback or conversation sounds in the car.

At present, Ford has built this active noise control system in the new Mondeo Vignale cars. Mondeo Vignale also uses other technologies to reduce noise, such as using foam instead of glass fiber to isolate the engine compartment, reducing up to two Decibel noise, acoustic glass is also used to reduce the noise generated by the airflow of the pillars around the window, and sound-absorbing materials are also used in the cabin.
